Can interiors inspired by nature make the world a more beautiful place? This is the premise behind Human Nature™, a new, global carpet tile collection of 25cm x 1m skinny planks from Interface that takes its cues from the visual, tactile textures found in the most elemental of floor coverings – think forest floors, grassy fields and pebbled garden paths. The collection, inspired by our innate connection to the earth, is also a tribute to Interface’s 20 year history of pioneering in sustainability. Made with 100 percent recycled content nylon yarn, it will be manufactured globally in Interface factories that are on average 39% more energy efficient and consume 83% less water than when the company began to rethink its impact on the environment two decades ago.

Offering a tufted texture and multiple shades, and cut in our Skinny Plank format (25cm by 1m), these carpet tiles can be mixed and matched to create room interiors that reflect the infinite variety of the natural landscape, as one surface gives way to another. They can also be used to define open spaces, delineating the transition between functional areas.
