OLX Group is one of the leading online marketplaces in Romania. The OLX Management team decided to expand and relocate to a new office space that would better support the organization’s increase in numbers but also to reflect their brand values and continue to enhance the engagement and cohesion of the team members.
The design principle was to project their virtual commerce and advertising model into the physical realm of the office environment. The OLX online platforms promote adverts for real estate, car sales and general promotional adverts encouraging the sale of a very wide range of products and services.
These notions inspired a design that accommodates typical office functions and even though the areas throughout the office have different themes, the entire space can also be quickly converted for town hall meetings as well as a leisure activity area for the teams.
The design concept translates the idea of a market place to an industrial warm look that depicts variety and change through the design vocabulary. Exposed ceiling, various types of wood claddings, glass, exposed concrete and brick, form the backdrop of the active environment of the office space.
The core of the space is represented by the cafeteria, entertainment room and two meeting rooms that can be merged and form a larger conference room but also open on one side allowing for an increased open area that can be used for the town hall meetings etc.
