When creating Thales Design Concept, for their new offices in Orhideea Towers, Arch. Oana Cucoranu, from Prographic Architecture Studio, started from an internationally well-defined brand image with geometric and dynamic shapes, digital inspired designs, textures and lots of accents on colours combined with metallic gray tones.
However, they proposed to adapt these general aesthetic principles to a certain local flavour, to humanize through the unexpected details the monotonous atmosphere of a daily workplace. This is how the idea of informal zones conceived as small scenographic inserts. Thus, the reception and entry area transposes you into an airport lounge and you can see the clouds on the airplane windows positioned right on the long corridor going through the office. The Sci - Fi elements endure stylistically: relaxation spaces in a Space Ship or informal meetings in a Train Compartment. At the level of partitioning, the architect created a "space in space" where the rooms deliberately detach from the whole office facade and reposition itself to create a dynamic and unexpected interior.
